Mobile Food Vendor Requirements
City of North liberty Code Chapter 124
- Any mobile food vendor unit or push cart, as defined in and not specifically exempted from this chapter, shall first obtain a license as provided in this chapter, prior to engaging in such business, or shall be considered to be in violation of this chapter.
- Required for mobile food units, including food trucks and food vending carts, to operated in North Liberty, effective Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 and renewable annually. Fee is $50.

Fire Inspection
- A valid fire inspection is required for the City of North Liberty Mobile Food Unit permit.
- Passing fire inspections are valid for one year from date of inspection.
- The North Liberty Fire Department is a member of the Corridor Fire Marshal Mobile Food Inspection group. The City of North Liberty will honor any valid fire inspections following jurisdictions; Cedar Rapids, Cedar Falls, Hiawatha, Iowa City, Marion, University of Iowa & Waterloo. Fees for the inspection may be applicable according to their adopted fees and ordinances.
- Fee: Included with City Permit application. $50 for inspection only with no Permit application.
